In this video, I play with "Holy Divers" from Bare Knuckle Pickups. My opinion - For lead playing: Both pickups are very responsive to how hard you pick/pluck the strings and that is extremely pleasant as you can really get into it (as I did in this video). Both pickups are really tight, the neck pickup provides you with a good start for that "liquid lead tone" you might be seeking. The bridge pickup has much more treble but nothing over the top, just the right amount. I usually go for the neck pickup or both but this set allows me to be that dynamic. For rhythm playing: The neck pickup has great body with good mids, think of a "Whitesnake" riff. The bridge pickup, again, has much more treble but not too much. Both are very clear (providing you adjust the pickups' height correctly) and strong. |
